Being one of the most prominent and symbolic places in Hong Kong that has witnessed monumental changes in the city, the new piazza development calls for such unifying character in guarding our legacy. Folded surface structure is explored in an attempt to allow both the converging and diverging sides of the folds to be expressed as either a part of the green wall, canopy, or screen. The folded lines are guided in a manner that responds to the triangular geometric morphology of the site; unfolding our heritage and history while folding together our mementoes.
